Bruce joined RF as part of one of our specialized classes, Balance & Power (B&P), over a year ago. In addition to his balance and strength, Bruce has made vast improvements to his stability, mobility, and overall fitness. He's also kept us endlessly entertained with his vast well of jokes that rival our best dad jokes! Bruce is always looking for ways to improve or challenge himself and his B&P classmates and he's well on his way to doing unassisted pull-ups, a movement we've been working on all year. We're so proud to have Bruce as part of our community as he really embodies what it means to be Strong for Life!

If there was one thing you could say to your Coach, what would it be?

Thank you. The RF experience is has been great for me.

After my first class with Balance and Power. My daughter Emily turned me on to RF

What is your fitness/nutrition experience prior to RF?

A lot of bike riding, walking and swimming but dropped off significantly during Covid. I was always a bike commuter during my working years.

What were your fitness habits like before joining RF? Were you already active? Were you new to fitness?

See question above. I have always used a lifecycle for at least and hour a day at a minimum.

Why do you think RF worked so well for you compared to other programs and instruction?

I had a fairly bad crash on my bike a number of years back which include some compromised balance issues. Balance and Power has been ideal to help me address some of my issues. Our coach is supportive and is quick to modify our workouts to fit the individual needs of our group.

  3. My endurance has improved.

How has your life improved thanks to your time with RF?

Being part of a new community and having other members of my family being part of that same community.

What are 3 tips, based on your experience, that you’d give to new members of RF to help them see success early on?

  1. Find your right class.

  2. Enjoy yourself.

  3. Have a goal in mind.

If someone is thinking about joining RF, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?

RF is a unique place. It will be easy to find your place and achieve your goals here.
